Shenfield Private GP is a service provided by Aesthetk Ltd, which is registered with
the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a healthcare provider. We are committed to maintaining the
highest standards of care and safety for all our patients.
Complaints Policy
We are committed to providing a high-quality service and take all complaints seriously. If you are
unhappy with any aspect of the care or service you have received, we encourage you to let us know so
we can try to resolve the issue.
How to Make a Complaint
- Informal: Speak directly to a member of staff or your doctor who may be able to
resolve the issue immediately.
- Formal: Write to our Practice Manager at the address below or email contact@shenfieldprivategp.com.
What Happens Next
- We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days.
- We aim to provide a full written response within 20 working days.
- If the investigation takes longer, we will keep you informed of progress.

Safeguarding Policy
We are dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. All our staff are
trained in safeguarding procedures and we have a designated Safeguarding Lead.
Our Commitment
- All staff undergo DBS checks and safeguarding training.
- We follow national and local safeguarding guidelines.
- We have clear procedures for reporting concerns.
- We work with local authorities and other agencies to protect vulnerable individuals.
If you have concerns about a child or vulnerable adult, please speak to a member of our team or
contact your local authority safeguarding team.
Chaperone Policy
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination, or
procedure. A chaperone is a trained member of staff who acts as a safeguard and witness during
intimate examinations.
- You can request a chaperone at any time.
- Please let us know when booking if you would like a chaperone.
- We may also suggest a chaperone is present for certain examinations.
- All chaperones are trained in their role and responsibilities.
Prescribing Policy
Our doctors prescribe medications based on clinical need and in accordance with UK prescribing
guidelines.
Important Information
- We will only prescribe medications that are clinically appropriate.
- We do not routinely prescribe controlled drugs (e.g., strong painkillers, sleeping tablets)
without prior medical records or ongoing clinical relationship.
- We reserve the right to decline a prescription request if it is not clinically appropriate.
- For repeat medications, we may require periodic reviews.
Referrals
If you require specialist care, we can arrange referrals to:
- Private healthcare specialists and hospitals.
- NHS services where appropriate.
All referrals are made based on clinical need and in consultation with you. We will discuss your
options and help you make an informed decision about your care.
